FR Non-Melting Insect Hood

AGO in Canada developed an FR non-melting insect/bug mesh hood that keeps ticks, mosquitoes, and other insects from a worker’s face and neck.

This is not arc rated since the rating would be VERY low, but it would NOT increase worker injury in an arc event. Since there is no arc-rated bug hood we know of, this could solve a problem for many utilities.  Might even work for some bees and wasps.

The hood has FR viscose mesh and is sewn with flame-resistant thread, and the cinch is Nomex.

This is not an advertisement by e-Hazard or a product endorsement.  Just something we saw that solves a problem for electrical workers that might be needed in your industry.

You can visit the AGO Industries website to see more details on this product.
