Hugh Hoagland was the presenter on a webcast titled “ “Arc Flash University: NFPA 70E PPE Challenges and Solutions.”  

He also answered several more questions about PPE after the webcast. Both the webcast and the question/answer session were organized by Plant Engineering online magazine.

Some of the questions that came up concern wearing gloves, tucking in sleeves and pants, paying for PPE, and other topics.

e-Hazard recently posted a blog about the subject of who pays for PPE. Several questions were asked of OSHA, who further clarified their 2007 final rule titled “Employer Payment for Personal Protective Equipment”.
