Dean Naylor

Dean Naylor is an e-Hazard instructor with over 20 years of experience in electrical system operation, installation, maintenance, analysis and testing. Previously he was Senior Electrical Engineer – Technical Services Group at Oglethorpe Power Corporation in Dalton, GA, where he oversaw electrical testing and predictive/preventive maintenance programs at the Thomas A. Smith Electrical Facility. While there he helped with the writing of plant procedures to comply with NERC/SERC standards. He was also Electrical Engineering Facility Manager at Hankook Tire; Director of Engineering – Systems Protection Group at Electric Power Systems in Maryland; and Electrical Reliability Engineer at Aerospace Testing Alliance at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Tennessee and is a Tennessee-registered professional engineer. He served in the U.S. Navy.
