Ken Sellars is an instructor of electrical safety, NEC, Grounding/Bonding and Arc Flash Safety courses nationwide. He obtained his electrical training in the U.S. Navy from 1985 to 1991 and holds an electrical license in Georgia. He also holds a BA in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Ken worked at Alcoa-Warrick Operations in Newburgh, Indiana for 16 years, as Electrical Specialist, Finishing Department Electrical Supervisor and Construction Project Coordinator.
In the latter position, Ken was responsible for electrical and telecommunications installations of multi-million dollar projects including fiber optics, furnace electrical overhauls, fire alarm systems, category 5E and category 6 networks, etc., and for ensuring safety, regulatory and code-compliant electrical installations for multiple simultaneous projects. He served as one of the founding members of Alcoa's Electrical Safety Lead Team, responsible for proper compliance with all OSHA and regulatory electrical rules.
