Prevent OSHA's Top Ten with e-Hazard electrical training

The whirlwind of conference activity has not slowed down at the e-Hazard and Arcwear office!

In the past two weeks, both companies have exhibited their services in both Atlanta and Louisville. This week Arcwear will be at IFAI (Industrial Fabrics Association International) Expo in California answering questions about arc flash testing and their new testing and certification program Flashcert. Hugh Hoagland, Stacy Klausing, and Jill Kirby will be there to meet with clients and anyone interested in the services Arcwear offers.

Hugh will be speaking on Wednesday, October 7, on “Arc Flash Standards in the US and EU: How Arc is Changing FR Fabrics.”  He’ll be in Room 210A and will speak from 10-10:45 a.m.  His talk will be a review of relevant standards, testing procedures, and fabric performance in an arc flash.  He’ll also discuss how the FR fabric industry has been changed by the hazard of arc flash and how standards have evolved over the years.

Arcwear will be on the show floor from October 7-9 along with over 300 other exhibitors.  Arcwear will be in the Advanced Textiles Section in booth A620. We’re excited about the new certification process, FlashCert, made possible through a partnership with testing labs, a certification body, and a notified body in the EU.  Kinectrics is the high voltage lab where products are arc flash tested; BTTG performs testing, including flash fire manikin testing, and provides CE Marking for the EU. Arcwear conducts the remaining tests that are required to meet the NFPA and ASTM arc flash and flash fire standards.  SEI, the certifying body, completes the process for NFPA 2112 and NFPA 1975.
