Back In 2011 A Case Was Settled For 13.9 Million After A High Voltage Circuit Exploded

An employee of Process Control Solutions was solving software problems.  The Reading Materials plant had more or less shut down its entire asphalt manufacturing operation.  During this work a high voltage breaker exploded, creating an extreme heat that from  an arc blast.

The company’s main electrician stated that regular maintenance had not been performed; the reason for not doing so had been financial. and that it would cause “downtime” at the plant…. Read the full story here.
