On November 18, 2013 an electrician foreman with 14 years of mining experience was electrocuted at the stone mine where he was working as a contract employee. The 33 year old contract worker was on the job for Pine Bluff Sand & Gravel Company at the Cumberland River Quarry.  He was working in a 490-volt electrical enclosure where he was pulling cable for a new pump being installed. He came in contact with energized conductors. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
