Australia is addressing an increase in rotator cuff injuries among electrical workers with the development of guidelines specific to management of the condition.

The University of New South Wales was approached by Essential Energy, a state-owned electricity infrastructure company, which wanted to improve outcomes for injured staff.

The guidelines are available online from the Rural Clinical School at Port Macquarie, AU.  This injury is common in linemen and power tools for line stretching can alleviate many of the incidents.  Good work position is also a key.
