New ANSI/ASSP Z10 Standard

The newest version of ANSI/ASSP Z10 received approval in August 2019.

The ANSI/ASSP Z10 is the Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems standard. A systems-based standard, this document describes a required set of processes intended to help organizations improve safety and reduce the risk of injuries and illnesses. While different models exist, they all contain several common requirements. Essentially, Z10 provides an outline for what a comprehensive system would include.

The document was developed under ANSI  (American National Standards Institute) protocols. ASSP (American Society of Safety Professionals) acted as Secretariat. Many representatives from different organizations and viewpoints participated in the 2019 revision.
