The 2018 edition of the NFPA 70E is now open for public input and anyone can make a proposal to improve the standard. The committee deals with EVERY proposal, so putting your suggestions in the correct format will help you to get results.

The most important thing is to give alternative language, just as it should appear in the standard. The committee can accept a global change, but if you have done the work it is more likely to get approval. Many people have expressed concern about operation of 480V and up devices with no PPE within the new standard. This is the time to get your proposals in.

Be sure to visit the NFPA 70E 2018 Proposal Site to submit your input!
