Inferno Wood Pellet Inc. has received a citation from OSHA for 11 violations of safety rules.  OSHA is seeking $43,000 in fines related to a 2013 explosion and fire.

No deaths occurred in the incident, however a reported lack of protection enabled the fire and subsequent explosion to “occur and spread in a chain reaction to other equipment and through the plant.”

A worker sustained injuries in the explosion and fire.  The cause was later determined to have been combustible wood dust.
